Honey Bee Family Childcare is a Maryland licensed in-home childcare provider that has been dedicated to offering high-quality and affordable care to children and their families for over a decade. Founded by Madelyn Carr, who holds an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor of Arts degree, Honey Bee Family Childcare is committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes children's growth and development.

Located in a single-family home, Honey Bee Family Childcare offers a homely and comfortable setting where children can learn, play, and grow. With a focus on promoting self-help (motor) skills, academic skills, and social skills, Honey Bee Family Childcare provides a preschool curriculum for early development that prepares children for kindergarten.

Our Services

At Honey Bee Family Childcare, we offer a range of services designed to meet the needs of children and their families. Our daily routine includes providing a healthy breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack, as well as time for outdoor play and nap time. We help prepare children for kindergarten by promoting self-help skills, potty training, and academic skills such as early math, calendar terms, literacy (letters and sounds), science, music, and some Spanish vocabulary words.

Our services are available from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, and we are closed on Presidents Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the following day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day. We are conveniently located in Columbia MD, 21045, and accept MD Excels, which allows voucher payment.

At Honey Bee Family Childcare, we prioritize the safety and well-being of children. Our smoke-free environment and certified CPR and First Aid, Sids and Emergency Preparedness Training, and MD Child Care Credential Level 6 certifications ensure that children receive the best care possible. We have a cat included in our facility, and we can watch up to 8 children per day, with 8 children currently enrolled.

Our rates are $165 per week for children 2 or older, with part-time rates available during the interview. We welcome you to contact us for more information about our services and availability.
