At Seichou Karate, we are a martial arts school committed to providing a unique and comprehensive education in traditional Japanese martial arts. With over 50 years of experience, our school has been dedicated to cultivating well-rounded individuals who embody the principles of discipline, respect, and self-improvement.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a supportive and nurturing environment for individuals of all ages and skill levels to develop their physical, mental, and spiritual abilities. We strive to inspire our students to become dedicated learners, promoting a culture of respect, hard work, and camaraderie.

Our History

Our journey began in 1971 when founder Richard Romero started studying Kyokushinkai-kan Karate under the guidance of renowned master Shigeru Oyama in Hartsdale, New York. He received his black belt from Kyokushin founder Masutatsu Oyama on November 24, 1974. Romero was a point system champion in the 1970s and a knock-down champion in the 1980s.
