Our Story
The McKay legacy began in 1949 when Robert McKay and his wife Frances Ellen started their adventure in the diamonds business. Over 60 years ago, McKay Diamonds opened its doors at 157 South Main Street. In May 2010, Robert McKay decided it was time to retire, and Joe & Sandra Andrade jumped at the opportunity to be a part of the McKay legacy. Joe has been in the jewelry business for over 30 years, starting his career as a watchmaker at just nine years old and later developing skills in jewelry carving and setting. He opened his first jewelry store in Brazil at age 17 and has never stopped doing business.

At McKay Diamonds, we offer a wide range of services to cater to all your jewelry needs. From custom design to repairs, we do everything in-house to ensure that our customers receive the highest quality products and exceptional service. Our custom design process allows customers to bring in a sketch or photograph of a piece, and our skilled jeweler creates a mold of the design until the customer is totally satisfied. We use diamonds and other gemstones that you already have, or we can provide them to you from our selection. The design and production process can take as little as 4 days, but creates memories that last a lifetime.
We also offer a lifetime warranty on all our products, so you can have peace of mind knowing that your jewelry is protected for generations to come.
