Empowering individuals through the art of Aikido

Tenzan Aikido is a martial arts center that has been offering classes in Seattle since 1981. Our dojo was founded by Bruce Bookman Sensei, who has over 50 years of experience in Aikido. We are committed to providing a supportive and friendly environment for our students to learn and grow.

About Aikido

Aikido is a traditional Japanese martial art that emphasizes personal growth and empowerment. While it does improve one's physical self-defense ability, the main focus of Aikido is to bring balance to any situation. Our founder, Morihei Ueshiba, believed that Aikido helps a person reach their true, compassionate, and sincere nature.
