At Roundhill Studios Ballet School, we believe that dance is an art form that can bring joy and fulfillment to people of all ages and skill levels. Since our founding in 1986, we have been dedicated to providing professional and recreational ballet instruction, as well as hosting dance classes in other styles and studio rental space.
Our Philosophy
We believe that dance is an art form that can be rewarding for both the serious and recreational student. We strive to make dancing enjoyable for all students, while encouraging the serious dancer to pursue a professional career. We believe that grace, confidence, and an appreciation of classical music and art can be developed through the study of ballet.
Our Services
We offer ballet training to develop proper technique and artistry in a positive and supportive environment. Our students have been accepted at some of the most prestigious ballet companies around the world. We are proud to include the ABT National Training Curriculum, a comprehensive program that combines high-quality artistic training with basics of dance health and child development.
Class Options
We offer a range of classes for students of all ages and skill levels, from adult beginners to advanced dancers. Our class options include:
- Adult Level A: Perfect for beginners or dancers who are returning to ballet, our Adult Level A class introduces basic combinations with an emphasis on good technique.
- Adult Level B: Our Adult Level B class introduces faster-paced barre and floor combinations, making it perfect for dancers with several years of ballet experience.
- Pre-Ballet: Our Pre-Ballet class is designed for children ages 3.5 to 5 years old, introducing basic positions and foundation steps, and creative movement and stretching in center floor.
- Level 1: Our Level 1 class focuses on the fundamentals of ballet for children ages 6 to 8 years old.
- Level 2: Our Level 2 class improves technique and increases vocabulary for steps for children who have some ballet experience.
- Level 3 & 4: Our Level 3 & 4 class introduces more advanced combinations and pointe work for older children and preteens.
- Private Lessons: For additional guidance and support, we offer private lessons for all levels.
Performances
We also host a range of performances throughout the year, featuring our students and guest performers. Our performances include:
- Winter Interlude-Dessert Show: An annual winter dance celebration featuring performances by our students and guest performers, with dessert served following the performance.
