Empowering Inner Harmony through Mind-Body Coordination

Seattle Ki-Aikido, a non-profit organization, is a community-driven dojo that has been dedicated to sharing the principles of Ki Development and the arts of Ki-Aikido since 1971. Our dojo is the oldest continuously operating Aikido dojo in the Pacific Northwest.

At Seattle Ki-Aikido, we believe that the way of harmony with Ki is a non-violent discipline that uses self-defense arts to explore peaceful coexistence with ourselves and with others. Our Ki-Aikido classes focus on the development of mind-body coordination, also known as Ki Development, which is the foundation of our martial art.

Our instructors are unpaid volunteers who have trained extensively in Ki-Aikido and have the necessary certifications. We offer classes for adults and children, as well as special events and workshops. Our classes are designed to promote exercise, self-defense, balance, and coordination, while also providing a sense of community and camaraderie.
