Staff and Atmosphere
The staff at the gym are friendly and welcoming, creating a great atmosphere for climbers. The music is always great, and the vibe is fun.
Climbing and Amenities
The gym offers good bouldering, although the facility is small with limited amenities. The outdoor weights and hangboards are a nice addition, but they are separate from the rest of the climbing area, making it hard to connect with the community. The grading system is inconsistent, and the setting can be frustrating, with every crux being the last move.
Yoga and Kilter Board
The yoga classes are a highlight of the gym, and the kilter board is a great feature, although it is also separate from the rest of the climbing area.
Prices and Value
Some climbers feel that the gym is overpriced at $98/month, especially considering the limited amenities and issues with the setting.
Ownership and Business Practices
There are concerns about the owners' behavior, including being dismissive and unresponsive to customer issues, and having a reputation for not paying employees during the pandemic. Some climbers have had negative experiences with the owners, including being called "emotional" and being denied refunds.
Route Setting and Climbing Experience
Some climbers have reported issues with route setting, including problems being too reachy for shorter climbers, and the lack of interesting movement or crimpy problems. Others have enjoyed the challenging routes and great atmosphere.
