Exceptional dentistry focused on delivering happiness.
At Jines, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional dining experiences for our customers. With a rich history dating back to 1954, our family-owned business has been dedicated to serving high-quality food and excellent service in a clean and comfortable environment. Our story began when George Gines immigrated to the United States from Greece, and we've since become a staple in the Rochester community.
Our Story
George Gines' journey in the United States started when he immigrated from Greece as a 21-year-old in 1954. He worked for his uncles at Critics Ice Cream, where they owned several ice cream stores throughout the Rochester area. In 1961, George transformed the West Main Street location from an ice cream store to a full-service restaurant, marking the birth of our restaurant business. In 1971, George opened the Park Avenue location, which we proudly call Jines today. For over 40 years and approaching three generations, we've emphasized quality food, excellent service, and a comfortable atmosphere.
