Our Story
At Atlantic Warriors Wing Chun Kung Fu, our journey began 21 years ago, when Sifu Jonathan Petree founded our school in Jacksonville, Florida. With over 28 years of Wing Chun experience, Sifu Petree is dedicated to teaching Wing Chun as a science of self-preservation. His mission is to provide a holistic approach to training, focusing on both the external and internal aspects of the art.
Our Approach
At Atlantic Warriors, we believe that students learn better when they receive individual attention from their instructor. Even in public group classes, our students receive personalized guidance from Sifu Petree. This approach allows us to tailor our instruction to each student's unique learning style, ensuring a deeper understanding of the curriculum.

We offer a range of classes and training programs, including:
Wing Chun Kung Fu
Our premier class, Wing Chun Kung Fu, is a comprehensive training program that covers both the external and internal aspects of the art. This holistic approach produces a more well-rounded practitioner of the art and system of Wing Chun.
Additional Classes
In addition to our Wing Chun Kung Fu program, we offer two other classes that cater to our students' diverse interests and goals. Our Philippine Combatives class combines different systems of arnis, kali, escrima, mano-mano, and arnis de mano to provide a comprehensive understanding of Filipino Martial Arts (FMA). Our Defensive Knife Tactics class is an edged-weapon system designed for today's concerned citizen and armed professional.
Our Lineage
Our lineage is authentic Yip Man-Leung Sheung Wing Chun, a style that has been passed down from Sifu Leung Sheung, Yip Man's most senior student in Hong Kong.
Our Trainer
Sifu Jonathan Petree is one of the most tenured Wing Chun students of Sifu Bill Graves in the world. With over 28 years of Wing Chun training, Sifu Petree has become a full instructor and has been trained by Wing Chun Sifu Karl Godwin. He continues to pursue knowledge and refinement, seeking to deepen his understanding of the Wing Chun system.
