Our journey began in 1986 when Ron Weiss, a seasoned business owner with 25 years of experience, identified the potential of the temporary and contract staffing business. He founded TYI in the Columbia Tower Building and focused on marketing efforts towards law firms in the building. In 1988, we introduced our travel division, Travel Temps, led by Ron's daughter, Shari Altchech, who had experience in the travel industry. This move led to a major contract with a large Seattle-area airplane manufacturer, resulting in our revenue doubling by 1990.
