Our Story
Our journey began in the late 1990s, when our founder, Allen Lombardi, started sourcing and selling wine grapes to wineries across the country. His entrepreneurial spirit and love for wine led him to establish business partnerships in Lodi, California, a region renowned for its high-quality vineyards. In 2001, Allen discovered the perfect match: Lodi's Mediterranean climate, warm summers, and cool, moist winters, combined with the region's distinctive sandy soils, made it an ideal location for growing grapes.
Today, our team at Thomas Allen Vineyards & Winery is comprised of experienced professionals with a passion for winemaking. Each member of our team shares a commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction. Our team includes Noel Basso, director of winemaking; John White, director of sales; Steve Merritt, international sales manager; John Verette, central regional manager; Natalie Hubbard, western regional manager; Donna Popkin, southeast regional manager; Gerry Catanzano, northeast regional manager; AJ Lombardi, sales manager; and Michael Terranova, sales manager.
