Live with Family, Dine with Family
Our Story
Gino's Restaurant has been a staple of the Baton Rouge restaurant community for over 50 years. Founded in 1966 by the Marino family, Gino's has been and continues to be 100% family-owned and operated. The family originated in Sicily, Italy, where Mama, the beloved matriarch, was born. Vincent, the patriarch of the Marino family, arrived in the United States in 1955, followed by Laurence in 1957 and then Mama, Gino, and Frances in 1958. Vincent, the patriarch of the Marino family, passed away in 1970, and Mama, the beloved matriarch, in June 2017.
Throughout its history, Gino's Restaurant has been renowned for its traditional southern Italian cuisine, prepared Mediterranean-style, with fresh seafood and top-quality steaks. The signature dish at Gino's is Arancini, accompanied by the house specialty, Laurence Bread. Patrons' favorite entrees include Chicken Parmigiana, Veal Sorrentina, and Filet alla Laurence. The restaurant's authentic Italian decor and ambiance create a romantic atmosphere, making Gino's a popular couples' favorite.
