At Capitol Dance Company, we are passionate about providing high-quality dance education and fostering a love of dance in our students. Our studio is a welcoming and supportive environment where dancers of all levels can grow and develop their technical skills and style.
Our Story
Capitol Dance Company was founded by Leslie Fields in 1978, and after her retirement in 2022, her daughters, Allison and Taylor Fields, took over the studio. As experienced dancers, teachers, and managers, they are committed to leading the studio with love, creativity, and excellence.
Our Services
We offer a variety of dance classes for dancers of all ages and levels, including Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, Hip Hop, Tap, and Flexibility & Technique. Our classes are designed to be fun and engaging, while also providing a strong technical foundation. We believe that dance education should be accessible to everyone, and our experienced teachers are dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential.
In addition to our regular classes, we also offer Performance Awards, Competition Teams, Master Classes, and an Annual Summer Performance in June. Our studio is a member of The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers and is licensed through BMI.

From our co-owners, Allison and Taylor Fields, to our Ballet Program Director, Melissa Ramos, and our Performance Director, Chelsea Lauwers, every member of our staff is passionate about dance and committed to helping our students succeed.

- One parent had a negative experience when their 4-year-old daughter was let out of the studio without being checked out to her parent, despite being very young. The teacher did not ensure the child's safety, and luck was the only reason the child did not enter the busy parking lot.
