Our Story
Our owner, Steve Kommor, was inspired to start his own coin shop after discovering a bag of Buffalo Head Nickels and Indian Head Cents in his backyard as a seven-year-old boy. This sparked a lifelong love of coin collecting, and by the time Steve went to college, he was buying and selling coins at regional coin shows. In 1980, he opened the doors to Cherokee Coins and Jewelry, and the rest is history. Steve's business partner and wife, Susan, serves as COO, overseeing the website, marketing, and communications. Together, they have built a national reputation as trusted coin dealers.

Our large showroom features key date coins, type coins, silver and gold coins, dollar collections, paper money, and other collectible memorabilia.
