We are a mental health practice dedicated to providing compassionate and evidence-based therapy services to individuals from all walks of life. Our founder, Susan, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with licenses to practice in North Carolina, New York, and New Jersey states. With a background in psychology, public health, and social work, Susan is uniquely equipped to provide comprehensive and holistic care to her clients.
Our Background
Susan's journey into mental health began when a close friend was diagnosed with major depression in 2001. Through this experience, Susan saw the need for qualified mental health clinicians in her community and was inspired to become one herself. She went on to earn her bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine, her master's degree in Public Health from the University of Southern California, and her Master of Social Work from New York University.
Since then, Susan has worked with individuals of all ages, from children and adolescents to adults, across various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. She is passionate about providing therapy services that include individual therapy sessions as well as group work, as they both offer an opportunity for self-discovery while connecting people who share similar experiences.
Our Specialties
Susan is specialized in working with people who struggle with anxiety, depression, identity issues, and trauma. However, she also enjoys helping those who are seeking general guidance or coaching so they can reach their goals. She is currently serving as Interim Chair of the Board of Directors at North Carolina Coalition Against Human Trafficking (NCCAHT) and has been an advocate and activist for this vulnerable community since 2010.

Meet Susan
Susan was born in Taiwan and immigrated to California when she was 12 years old. She has always had a passion for helping disadvantaged students, which led her to invest herself in social work. In addition to her work in mental health, Susan enjoys writing, photography, and traveling. These hobbies not only help her to relax but also assist her in gaining the ability to reflect, inspire, and motivate herself and others in both her personal and professional life.
