River City Psychiatry is a leading mental health practice located in Louisville, KY. Our team of four independently-operating, Board Certified psychiatrists is dedicated to providing accurate diagnosis and individualized treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions. Our practice is committed to serving the mental health needs of the people of Louisville and its surrounding communities.
Our Team
Each psychiatrist at River City Psychiatry has trained and studied under world-renowned faculty through the University Of Louisville Department Of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Our team is committed to working collaboratively with our patients to understand their unique issues, formulate specialized treatment plans, and provide improvement in bettering their mental well-being. Our addresses are easily accessible by elevator or stairs, and are wheelchair accessible. River City Psychiatry is conveniently located near The Paddock Shops (formerly The Summit) with close proximity to both I-71 and I-265, and has abundant parking available.

River City Psychiatry provides an extensive array of services which will be tailored to meet each patient's individual needs. We provide treatment for various mental health conditions such as:

Our treatment plans often incorporate therapy and counseling, but the majority of the treatment provided is medication-based treatment for psychiatric conditions. We understand that each patient's needs are unique, and we work closely with our patients to develop a customized treatment plan that is right for them.
Appointments
To become a patient of River City Psychiatry, please refer to our New Patient Instructions. This contains information and required forms for new patients. This must be completed by the patient and received by our office in order to schedule your appointment. We encourage new patients to plan to arrive 15 minutes early before your scheduled appointment time, and to expect to spend about an hour with your psychiatrist during your initial appointment. At this time, a treatment plan will be devised with you in order to best meet your needs.
Payment and Insurance
Payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash, personal checks, most major credit cards, debit cards, and Health Savings Account cards. We are out-of-network with insurance, please contact our office for rates. River City Psychiatry is NOT a Medicare or Medicaid provider.
Cancellations, Missed, or Late Appointments
You must provide 24 hour notice of cancellation for all appointments. If not, you will be expected to pay for the missed session at your next appointment. Late arrivals will be seen if possible but will still end as scheduled and you will be charged for the full appointment.
Emergency
If you are having a medical emergency or are having thoughts of harming yourself or someone else, you should call 911 or proceed to the nearest emergency room if you are able to do so safely. If you want to speak with a crisis counselor, you can call the Seven Counties Crisis and Information Line at (502) 589-4313.
Office Hours
Our typical hours of operation are Monday through Thursday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and 8:30 AM to 12pm on Fridays. Phones are turned off 1 hour prior to the close of each business day to allow time to return messages.
