At Gonzales Wine Company, we're passionate about crafting small production, low intervention wines that showcase the Pacific Northwest's unique terroir. Our story began with a life-changing glass of Malbec in Argentina, which inspired our founder Cristina Gonzales to pursue a career in winemaking. After years of honing her skills around the world, Cristina launched Gonzales Wine Company in 2010, driven by a desire to create wines that she loves to drink.

Our Philosophy

We believe that the most important work happens in the vineyard. That's why we adopt a low intervention approach to winemaking, allowing the grapes to express their true character and terroir. This means minimal manipulation in the winery, resulting in wines that are authentic and unpretentious. Our signature wine, made vintage after vintage, is of course Malbec - a testament to the grape that started it all.

Our wine portfolio features aromatic whites like Riesling and Gewurtztraminer, as well as bold reds like Syrah and Petit Verdot. Each wine is carefully crafted to showcase the unique qualities of the Pacific Northwest, from the crisp acidity of our white wines to the rich tannins of our red wines. Community Engagement

At Gonzales Wine Company, we're committed to building community and fostering connections. That's why we co-founded Community Wine Bar with RAM Cellars winemaker Vivianne Kennedy in 2023. This vibrant tasting room and event space is designed to be welcoming and inclusive, offering wine flights, wine by the glass, and small plates in a warm and inviting atmosphere. We also host regular wine events, including bilingual and ASL wine tastings, to bring people together and share our passion for wine.

Our tasting room is located on the Portland waterfront, where you can experience our wines and enjoy stunning views of the city. We offer free pickup in SW Portland, as well as national shipping for those who can't visit in person.
