At Blakeslee Vineyard Estate, we are dedicated to producing exceptional wines from our own estate vineyard grapes, located in Oregon's Chehalem Mountain AVA in the Willamette Valley. Our mission is to craft elegant, award-winning wines that beautifully represent the terroir of the region, using sustainable farming practices and expert winemaking techniques.

Our Story

Our journey began in 2005 when Bill and Sheila Blakeslee purchased the 20-acre estate, with the intention of managing it and selling the fruit. They worked tirelessly to restore the property to its former glory, converting the land from filberts and Christmas trees to Pinot Noir grapes. Over the years, we have honed our skills in sustainable vineyard management and winemaking, earning our LIVE Certification with the 2012 harvest.

Our Vineyard

Our vineyard is situated on the South side of the Chehalem Mountains at an elevation of 500' to 550'. We are unique in that we are located both in the Chehalem Mountains AVA as well as the newly created Laurelwood District AVA. Our vineyard crowns East to West, where we can capture the long cool morning sun and the hotter shorter afternoon exposure. We farm 100% sustainably and have learned through expert vineyard management and experienced wine making techniques to handle the various curve balls thrown by Mother Nature each year.

Our Winemaking Style

Our winemaking style is centered around handcrafting our wines, using only the finest estate-grown grapes. We are committed to producing wines that are true reflections of our vineyard's unique terroir. Our winemaker, Jim Sanders, has spent years honing his craft, learning from some of the industry's most renowned experts.

Our Tasting Room

Our tasting room is a beautiful, airy space with a elegant, modern design. We invite you to join us for a wine tasting, where you can enjoy a selection of our finest wines, including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, and more. Our knowledgeable staff is dedicated to providing exceptional service and ensuring that your experience is nothing short of memorable.

Visiting Us

We welcome visitors daily from 11am to 5pm. Reservations are required for groups of six or more. For those interested in wine tastings, charcuterie, and outdoor seating, please note that reservations are limited to 90 minutes. We also offer private events and functions for those seeking a more intimate experience.

Getting Here

We are conveniently located just 20 minutes southwest of Portland and five minutes from the nearby town of Sherwood. We're easily accessible by car and offer ample parking for your convenience.
