Our Story
Yoga From The Heart was born from the realization that yoga heals. Our founder, Diane Couture, discovered the life-changing benefits of yoga firsthand and was inspired to share those gifts with others. After years of practicing and training, Diane opened the first location of YFTH in West Hartford Center in 2018. Due to a devastating studio flood in 2021, we made the journey to our current beautiful sunlit space in Avon Village.

The instructors are experienced and knowledgeable, providing a great balance between physical and mental challenge. The teachers are supportive and focus on proper form and technique, making the classes feel engaging and transformative.
Balance and Variety
The studio offers a range of classes, including power vinyasa, yin-yang, and gentle yoga. The instructors bring a mix of experience and style to their classes, ensuring that students learn new things and are never bored. The Sunday power vinyasa class with Dana is particularly popular, with great music and a high-energy atmosphere.
Beginner-Friendly
The studio is welcoming to beginners and offers a "yoga basics" class for those new to yoga. The instructors are patient and willing to help students learn and improve, making it easy for newcomers to join and feel comfortable.
Nice Atmosphere
The studio is located in a convenient spot and has a nice, open class space with plenty of natural light. The space is clean and well-maintained, with a variety of props available for use. The music and sound system are also well-done, creating a relaxing and calming environment.

The studio owners, Diane and Amy, are fantastic teachers and are always willing to listen to customer feedback. They are responsive to input and make changes to the schedule accordingly.
