Since 1974, La Cheim School, Inc. has been a beacon of hope and empowerment for vulnerable children, adolescents, and adults in the San Francisco Bay Area. Founded on the belief that everyone deserves a chance to thrive, we offer a comprehensive continuum of educational and mental health services. Our Services

We offer a diverse range of services to meet the unique needs of our clients, including:

Education

• La Cheim School: Providing quality K-12 education in Contra Costa and Alameda Counties.
• In-Home Therapeutic Behavioral Services: Supporting children and families in their homes.

Mental Health

• Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP): A supportive, structured environment for young men to address trauma and behavioral challenges.
• Community Mental Health Center: Offering individual and group therapy, case management, and other services to adults.
• School-Based Therapeutic Services: Providing counseling and support to Oakland youth within their school setting.

Community Support

• Browning House: A supportive housing program for young adults.
• Youth Empowerment and Wellness (YEW): Preventing mental health challenges and fostering resilience in children and adolescents.
• Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) & Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): Providing intensive treatment for adults struggling with mental health issues.
