At Crabby Jim's Seafood Restaurant, we're more than just a restaurant - we're a family. We're a group of passionate individuals who love food, love the ocean, and love the community we serve. Our story begins with our Executive Chef, Armando Ramirez, who has been living on the Monterey Peninsula for over 10 years. His culinary journey started with Chef Todd Fisher at Hullaballo Restaurant in Salinas, where he learned the importance of doing things right and doing them with passion.

Chef Armando continued his culinary education under Chef Jose Sanchez at MPCC, where he honed his skills in Italian and American cuisine. He then moved on to Forge in the Forest as Sous Chef under Chef Hector Berrman, expanding his culinary repertoire to include Mexican cuisine. In 2007, he met Dennis Joshi, who gave him the opportunity to become the Executive Chef at Crabby Jim's Seafood Restaurant, a position he has held for the past six years.

In June of 2012, Chef Armando's secret Clam Chowder recipe earned him and Crabby Jim's the title of "Best Clam Chowder on the West Coast." This achievement is a testament to our commitment to quality and excellence in everything we do. Our menu is carefully crafted to showcase the freshest seafood available, prepared with love and care by our talented chefs.
