Nirmala Norma Berrios
Nirmala's lifelong journey with yoga began at the age of 16, fueled by a deep desire to understand the meaning of life and her place within it. Over the past 18 years, she has immersed herself in the rich traditions of Vedanta and Samkhya philosophy, engaging in profound Self-Study with her Guru, Shri Manorama Devi Ma, director of Sanskrit Studies and Luminous Soul Method.
Nirmala's training extends to the sacred texts of yoga, including The Upanishads, Atma Bhodha, Pantanjali's Yoga Sutras, and the Bhagavad Gita, gaining profound insights into the principles and practices that underpin this ancient and revered tradition. She received her Iyengar Yoga certification from Laughing Lotus in NYC in 2004 and incorporates a traditional approach to teaching that emphasizes precise alignment and conscious breath awareness.
Nirmala's classes are a harmonious blend of physical practice and philosophical exploration, leaving students feeling aligned, energized, and deeply connected to their inner selves.
Edgar Mesquita
Edgar's passion for yoga blossomed in 2001, marking the beginning of his lifelong journey into the transformative power of this ancient practice.
Edgar's dedication to yoga is evident in his extensive training, which includes certifications in both Swasthya Yoga (Self-Sufficiency Yoga, now known as the DeRose Method) and Svatantrya Yoga (Freedom Yoga). His in-depth study across various traditions has given him a multifaceted understanding of yoga, allowing him to confidently guide students through a wide range of styles, including Kundalini, Hatha, Ashtanga, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Iyengar, and Raja.
Edgar has not only cultivated his own practice but has also shared his passion with others through the establishment and leadership of multiple yoga schools and teacher trainings, empowering aspiring yogis to embark on their own journeys of growth and transformation. His classes are characterized by a welcoming and supportive atmosphere, where students feel encouraged to explore their limits, embrace their individuality, and tap into the full potential of their practice.
