At Wagging Tails Kennel, we understand that leaving your pet behind while you travel can be difficult. That's why we strive to provide the best care possible for your furry friend. We're a family-owned and operated business dedicated to making sure every pet feels comfortable and well cared for while you're away.

Our Facilities and Services

We have designed our kennels to provide each pet with ample space and comfort. Our large indoor/outdoor kennels are equipped with climate-proof doggie doors that keep the temperature inside comfortable, allowing your pet to go in and out as they please during the day. Heated floors and air conditioning ensure that your pet stays comfortable throughout their stay. Each kennel also features hammock beds for a cozy rest, shaded outdoor runs, and a large marker board and shelf to keep track of special diet needs, treats, and medications.

We offer six large play areas where your pet can exercise and play under supervision. For larger dogs or families of dogs, we can even join two kennels together for added comfort. Our staff is always on site to provide 24/7 supervision and ensure that your pet receives the best care.

Special Needs and Medications

At Wagging Tails Kennel, we understand that some pets require special care. We give medications, including injections, on the same schedule as you would at home. Our Medications Tracking Report helps us keep tight control over the process, and a supervisor reviews the reports to ensure medications are given accurately and timely.

We also offer Wellness Checks, where every pet is checked daily and documented with our Wellness Report. This ensures that no issues are emerging during their stay, such as sore feet, joint sores, or picky eating habits.

Vaccinations and Health Requirements

We require all pets to be healthy and flea-free. For cats, a current rabies shot is necessary, and we defer to your veterinarian for any additional shots your cat may need. For dogs, we require current vaccinations for Bordetella (kennel cough), rabies, and distemper/corona/parvo. We accept your vet's print-out as documentation for all shots.

Wagging Tails Kennel is located on Hull Street in Chesterfield, just eight miles from Woodlake. We're open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, and Sunday from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
