Joe & Mimma's Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria has been a beloved staple of the Grafton, Virginia community since its establishment in 1972. Founded by Girolamo and Rosaria Buffa, the restaurant has been owned and operated by the Buffa family for over four decades. After moving from Sicily to New York in 1968 and then to Virginia in 1970, the Buffas renovated the former Western Auto Store and opened Joe & Mimma's restaurant. Their four children, Joe, Mimma, Anna, and Mario, grew up watching the restaurant flourish alongside their family. Although Rosaria, fondly known as Mama Buffa, retired in 2003, the restaurant continues to thrive under the leadership of long-time employee Harold and his children, Rosaria and Girolamo.

Our large private banquet room is capable of seating 80+ people and can be reserved for a minimal deposit fee. We offer a range of buffet options to suit any occasion, and our team is dedicated to ensuring that your event is a success.

We also offer catering services for events and parties of all sizes. We have a range of delicious options on our catering menu, from appetizers to entrees, salads, and desserts. Simply call ahead at least 24 hours in advance, and we'll have your order ready for pick-up at the time of your choosing.

• What is a Godfather sub? Our Godfather sub is a delicious sandwich featuring thinly sliced ribeye steak topped with grilled onions, mushrooms, and green peppers, melted mozzarella cheese, and tomato sauce.
• How many slices are in your pizza? A small pizza comes with four slices, a medium pizza comes with six slices, a large pizza comes with eight slices, and a Sicilian square comes with 16 slices.
• What is a Sicilian square? A Sicilian square is a traditional take on pizza that originated in Sicily, Italy. It is a thicker crust pizza similar to a deep dish that is 16x16 inches.
