At 1st Valley Credit Union, we pride ourselves in being a true community credit union, dedicated to serving the financial needs of our members and the communities we serve. Our story began in 1951, when we started serving the city employees of San Bernardino. Over the years, we expanded our field of membership to include other local employer groups, and in 1999, we became a community credit union, welcoming all persons living or working in the cities of San Bernardino, Colton, Rialto, Highland, Loma Linda, and Grand Terrace. In 2011, we proudly expanded our services to the entire County of San Bernardino.

Our Philosophy

At 1st Valley Credit Union, we believe that being a true community credit union means more than just serving our members. We strive to promote greater public awareness of and involvement with local organizations, with three main principles guiding our efforts. Firstly, we encourage our members, staff, and board to volunteer and participate in programs and events that make our community a great place to live. Secondly, we promote recognition of outstanding community volunteers by sponsoring an annual Community Minded Service Award. Thirdly, we work with local organizations to promote financial literacy, especially among youth.
