Welcome to the practice of Dr. Michael Rothman, a licensed clinical psychologist with a specialization in short and long-term psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and twins. Dr. Rothman has a comprehensive educational background, having graduated with honors from Washington University in Saint Louis. He then earned a master's degree in psychology from Columbia University's Teachers College in 1994. Dr. Rothman pursued a doctorate in clinical psychology at The Derner Institute of Adelphi University, focusing on insight-oriented and short-term psychotherapies, as well as sibling, twin, and couple dynamics.

His training at the highly acclaimed APA-accredited psychology internship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York has equipped him with the necessary skills and knowledge to handle a wide range of psychological issues. He has worked as a researcher and therapist before joining the faculty at Beth Israel, where he supervised, researched, and practiced clinically. He has also presented his work at local and international conferences and has been featured in publications such as "One and the Same" and "100 Simple Secrets of Happy Families."

Dr. Rothman's approach to psychotherapy is active and collaborative. He works closely with his clients to develop and enhance coping strategies while exploring their emotions in greater depth. His goal is to help individuals gain a deeper understanding of their lives and family dynamics, leading to lasting change. He is trained in various methodologies and can tailor his approach to meet the specific needs and concerns of each client.
