Our Story

Brian's passion for jewelry making began in high school, and he has since honed his skills working for other esteemed jewelers in Pittsburgh. In 2012, he decided to take the leap and establish his own studio, Smithology Custom Jewelry, in downtown Sewickley. Since then, he has built a reputation for himself as one of the top wax carvers in the country, collaborating with clients and jewelers across the nation to bring their visions to life.

Our Services

From custom engagement rings and wedding bands to repurposing existing jewelry, we work closely with each client to bring their unique vision to life. Our process begins with a consultation, where we work with you to design the perfect piece. From there, we craft a wax prototype, cast it in the metal of your choice, and set the stones to create a truly one-of-a-kind piece. We also offer precision setting with a microscope, hand engraving, hand-carved wax, and 3D printing and milling to ensure that every detail is meticulously crafted.
