At Yin Yoga with Elaine Parker, we believe that yoga is a journey of self-discovery and growth, and that it's essential to approach it with care and compassion. Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for our students to cultivate greater flexibility, strength, and mobility, while also fostering a deeper connection with their own bodies and minds.

Our Story

As a respected yoga instructor in the Charlotte area since 2001, I have had the privilege of teaching a wide range of yoga styles, from Hot Yoga to Traditional Hatha Yoga. However, it was my experience with Yin Yoga that truly changed my practice and my understanding of the human body. After experiencing the transformative power of Yin Yoga, I was inspired to share this practice with others and founded the Yin Yoga with Elaine Parker.

Our Services

At Yin Yoga with Elaine Parker, we offer a variety of services designed to help our students cultivate greater flexibility, strength, and mobility, while also fostering a deeper connection with their own bodies and minds. Our services include:

  • Online Yin Yoga: A relaxing floor practice with long holds, perfect for all levels.
  • Yin/Stillness & Yang/Movement: A practice that combines stillness and movement for all levels.
  • Bikram Yoga Sequence: A 60-minute sequence of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises.
  • Traditional Hatha Yoga: Postures that counter the Western lifestyle.
  • Qigong: Seasonal practices to destress and build energy.
  • Virtual Private Yoga Instruction: One-on-one sessions for a personalized approach.

Our Philosophy

At Yin Yoga with Elaine Parker, we believe that yoga is not just a physical practice, but a holistic approach to well-being. We believe that by cultivating greater flexibility, strength, and mobility, we can also cultivate greater mental clarity, emotional balance, and spiritual connection. We strive to create a safe and nurturing environment that fosters a deeper connection with our own bodies and minds.

Our Team

I, Elaine Parker, am a 200-hour E-RYT certified yoga instructor with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from UNC-G. I have completed multiple trainings in Yin Yoga, Traditional Hatha Yoga, Bikram Yoga, and Qigong. I am also a certified Health and Fitness specialist from the American College of Sports Medicine.
