His son began experiencing back pain during karate lessons, which worsened when Sifu Ray was asked to take it easy on him. In addition, Sifu Ray made a remarks about Thomas M's fiancee's weight, which was deemed unacceptable by other parents. Thomas M was shocked by the remark and felt disrespected, leading him to pull his son out of lessons. When asked for a refund, Sifu Ray refused, which further frustrated Thomas M.
