Welcome to Strongsville Psychological Services (SPS), a beacon of hope and healing for individuals and families in the southwest communities of Cleveland since 1995. Our mission is to provide high-quality, effective, and timely counseling and assessment services to those grappling with mental health challenges. We are dedicated to delivering compassionate care that respects the unique needs and experiences of each person who walks through our doors.

Experienced Clinical Staff

Our clinical staff is comprised of psychologists, social workers, and licensed counselors who bring a wealth of experience and expertise to their work. We specialize in treating children, adolescents, and adults facing a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, anger management, interpersonal/marital conflicts, bereavement, parent-child conflicts, behavior disorders, substance abuse, and trauma. Our team is committed to fostering a warm and supportive environment that promotes growth, healing, and recovery.

Therapy Services

SPS offers a variety of therapy services designed to meet the unique needs of our clients. We feature a large staff of experienced clinicians, many of whom have been with the practice for over a decade. This allows us to offer a range of treatment perspectives and specializations, including Christian/spirituality-based counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, attachment work, and stress management/reduction. We also offer unique clinical specializations, such as eating disorders, attachment problems (particularly with adoption), chronic illness, and high-conflict divorce.

Our therapy services include individual therapy, marital/couples therapy, and child and family therapy. We understand that seeking help can be difficult, and we strive to make the process as seamless as possible. Our office staff is available Monday through Saturday to assist with registration, insurance verification, and scheduling with an available therapist who specializes in the identified clinical concern. We are committed to seeing most new clients within a week of their initial contact.

Assessment Services

In addition to therapy services, SPS offers assessment services for serious clinical and cognitive conditions. Our clinicians are trained to provide comprehensive evaluations that include psychometric testing, diagnostic interviewing, report writing, client feedback, and consultation to relevant professionals.

Our assessment services include evaluations for learning disabilities/attention deficit disorder conducted by a certified school psychologist. We also offer assessments for alcohol and other substance abuse, as well as bariatric assessments for psychological appropriateness.

Consultation Services

At SPS, we believe that collaboration is key to providing the best possible care. We offer consultation services to relevant professionals, including school personnel, physicians, and other healthcare providers. Our goal is to work together to ensure that each person we serve receives the most comprehensive and effective care possible.

Convenient Location and Hours

Located at 7370 Engle Road in Middleburg Heights, Ohio, SPS is easily accessible to those in the southwest communities of Cleveland. We offer office hours Monday through Saturday, and we are committed to initiating treatment within a week under most circumstances.

SPS is proud to be a part of the Cleveland community. We are a sponsor of the critically acclaimed American Independent film "Ghostlight" at the 48th Annual Cleveland International Film Festival.
