The Parent/Professional Advocacy League (PPAL) is a statewide, grassroots family organization that advocates for improved access to mental health services for children, youth, and their families. Founded in 1991, PPAL continues to work on behalf of children, youth, and families as a critical voice shaping policy and practice. Our vision is to provide hope for children with mental health needs and their families through education, advocacy, outreach, and support.
Mission
PPAL's mission is to improve the mental health and well-being of children, youth, and families through education, advocacy, and partnership. We strive to support families, nurture parent leaders, and work for systems change to ensure that all children have access to the mental health services they need.
Services Offered
PPAL offers a range of services designed to support families, including workshops, support groups, and events. Our programs are tailored to meet the specific needs of families whose children have mental health needs. From providing information and new skills to connecting families with a network of other families, PPAL's services aim to empower families to navigate the system effectively and advocate for their children's needs.
Family Support Services
We understand that it can be challenging to find the right support for your child. That's why PPAL offers family support services, including support groups, workshops, and events. These services are designed to provide you with the information, skills, and network you need to navigate the system effectively and advocate for your child's needs.
Advocacy
PPAL is dedicated to advocating for improved access to mental health services for children, youth, and families.
