Our History
In 1967, our current owner, Dwight Smith, took control over the boat yard formerly known as Duxbury Boat Yard. The old Duxbury Boat Yard built boats, including Ted Kennedy's Concordia Schooner Mya. Since then, our company has repaired and maintained some of the finest power and sailboats in New England. Our logo is a drawing of our work boat, Azalea, which started out with the Light House Service in 1937 and later became a buoy tender for the Coast Guard in 1939. She is still doing similar tasks today, making her a piece of living history.
