Massapoag Yacht Club

Massapoag Yacht Club, located on the picturesque shores of Lake Massapoag, was founded in 1946 and has since grown to become a premiere destination for yacht racing in Massachusetts and the Northeastern United States. As an all-volunteer organization, we pride ourselves on our ability to cater to sailors of all experience levels, from beginners to seasoned veterans.

Organized Competition for All Ages

At Massapoag Yacht Club, we offer organized competition for sailors of all ages. Our racing season runs from May to October, and we host regattas for all sailboat classes, including juniors. Some of the races we host include national sailing competitions, local regattas, and regional events. Our Events Calendar provides detailed information on all of our upcoming races.

Adult Learn to Sail Programs

For those new to sailing, Massapoag Yacht Club offers Adult Learn to Sail programs. These programs are designed to teach sailing fundamentals and provide hands-on experience on the water. Our experienced instructors help students develop the skills and confidence needed to safely navigate the waters of Lake Massapoag.

Powerboating Courses

In addition to our sailing programs, we also offer Powerboating Courses. These courses are designed to teach students the basics of powerboating, including boat handling, safety procedures, and navigation. Our instructors have years of experience on the water and are passionate about sharing their knowledge with others.

Junior Sailing Instruction and Racing

Massapoag Yacht Club is committed to fostering the growth and development of young sailors. Our Junior Sailing Instruction and Racing programs provide students with the skills and experience needed to excel on the water. Our experienced instructors teach sailing fundamentals, boat handling, and racing techniques in a safe and supportive environment.

MYC Race Results

For those interested in tracking their progress on the water, Massapoag Yacht Club provides detailed MYC Race Results. These results are updated regularly and provide a comprehensive overview of our races and regattas.

Fleets

Massapoag Yacht Club is home to several fleets, including the Flying Scot Fleet, Sunfish Fleet, Day Sailer Fleet, and Laser Fleet. Each fleet hosts its own races and regattas, and members are encouraged to participate and connect with other sailors.
