The earliest enterprise along the shores of Buzzards Bay was the saltworks - a clever system utilizing what was on hand, and a bit of craftsmanship to produce sea salt. Hand crafted equipment moved seawater to huge evaporation pans, which utilized the heat of the sun to produce salt. It is in this spirit of ingenuity and craftsmanship that Saltworks Marine provides care for the crafts that ply these same waters of Buzzards Bay and beyond. From the smallest damage to new decks, new consoles, swim platforms, or anything else you need, we can do it. Our expert glass crew has vast experience with Polyester and Epoxy resin. We specialize in electrical, electronics, charging systems, and every aspect of marine plumbing. Whether refrigeration systems, solar arrays, or lithium-ion batteries with custom charging systems, we have the experience to customize your yacht and give you a unique boating experience. We also provide competitive storage rates, including mooring-to-mooring service, and can build custom docks to your specific needs. Our experienced mechanics service Outboard, Inboard, I/O, gas or diesel engines from repair and maintenance to rebuilds and trouble shooting. We specialize in beautiful fresh top sides to a new coat of bottom paint, and our Alex Seal factory certified Paint tech Toby Gonsalves is specially trained in the application of Alex Seal products. Restoration of old vessels is also a specialty, bringing life back into tired old hulls. From Columbia 50's to 13' Boston Whalers, we can restore them all. Additionally, we offer bright work and marine carpentry services, including constructing new hatches and doors to reviving old tired bright work with fresh coats of varnish. Lastly, we provide shrink wrap service as an alternative to indoor storage for protecting your boat from New England's harsh winters.
