Quality Dance Instruction in a Modest, Non-Competitive Environment
Corner Dance Studio was founded on the belief that dance should be a joyful, inclusive, and values-driven experience. Our director, Christina Lloyd, began her dance journey at age 3 and later graduated from BYU with a dance degree. After selling her initial studio to focus on motherhood, she recognized a gap in Utah County for a modest, technique-focused dance environment. In 2011, she transformed her unfinished basement into a dedicated space for families seeking quality instruction without the pressures of competition. Over the years, weve expanded to a purpose-built underground studio with 12-foot ceilings and natural light, serving hundreds of students annually. Our team of seasoned instructors brings decades of professional experience, including performances with renowned companies and awards for choreography. We prioritize flexibility, allowing dancers to balance other activities while mastering ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, and tumbling. Our commitment to modest attire, clean music, and age-appropriate choreography has created a welcoming community where students thrive. With two major recitals yearly and performance opportunities at local parades and conventions, we focus on growth, teamwork, and artistic expression. Our growth reflects the communitys trust in our mission to make dance accessible, enriching, and rooted in technical excellence.

Ballet Classes
Our ballet program builds technical proficiency from foundational positions to advanced pointe work. Students develop posture, flexibility, and terminology through barre and center exercises. Classes prepare dancers for performances and higher-level training while emphasizing proper alignment and artistry. This service caters to ages 5 and up with progressive levels.
Hip-Hop Instruction
Hip-hop classes teach rhythm, body control, and stage presence through kid-friendly choreography. Students learn foundational moves like isolations and grooves while developing performance confidence. Classes are divided by age groups (5-7 and 8-10) to ensure appropriate skill development in a high-energy, creative environment.
Tumbling & Acro
Tumbling courses focus on strength, coordination, and technical skills from basic rolls to advanced aerials. Students progress through levels requiring prerequisites, mastering cartwheels, walkovers, and acrobatic sequences. Classes emphasize safe technique development for dancers seeking to enhance their physical capabilities.
Performing Companies
Our five performing companies (Esprit to Ciel) offer structured team experiences for dedicated dancers. Members rehearse choreography for community performances, parades, and conventions while building discipline and camaraderie. Requirements range from 2-6 weekly training hours based on team level and dancer experience.
Summer Dance Programs
Seasonal summer programs include genre-specific classes and international folk dance camps. Students explore new styles through 90-minute workshops covering Israeli, Russian, Indian, and English dance traditions. The program runs June-July with flexible enrollment options for both continuing and new students.
