At South Valley Creative Dance, we believe in nurturing the whole child through creative expression and artistic process. Our holistic and supportive education practices focus on developing not only technical dance skills but also artistic expression, creativity, and individuality.
Our Philosophy
Our goal is to help every student understand the unique and wonderful ways dance, movement, and art can be a part of their daily life. We are not a competition studio, and we do not stress or teach routines/steps or encourage cookie-cutter performances from our students. Instead, we value each child's unique individuality and encourage its development. We allow each child to explore and make choices in the moment and encourage creative problem-solving over 'right' or 'wrong' answers.
Our Services
We offer a range of dance classes for all ages, from 18 months to 12th grade. Our creative dance classes for younger children focus on exploring natural movement and creativity, while our modern dance classes for older children and teenagers focus on technical training and artistic expression. We also offer ballet technique and conditioning classes, as well as musical theatre classes.
In addition to our regular classes, we also offer a performance group called Creativity in Action, which provides students with the opportunity to work with guest choreographers, develop their own choreographic ideas, and perform in a separate show at the end of the school year.
Our Faculty
Our faculty consists of highly qualified and experienced dance educators who are passionate about teaching and mentoring students of all ages. Our educators have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Dance and extensive experience working with children of all ages. They understand that dance is not just a physical activity but also a means of expression and creative outlet.
