Pilates is a form of exercise that can be both aerobic and non-aerobic. It requires concentration and focus, moving your body through precise ranges of motion. Pilates lengthens and stretches all major muscle groups in a balanced fashion, concentrating on finding a centre point to control your body through movement. This workout consists of sequences performed in low repetitions, usually five to ten times, over a session of 45 to 90 minutes, using both mat work and specialized equipment for resistance.
