Your Inclusive Strength Training Gym in Atlanta, GA
Founded in 2016, Team Lis Smash was created to challenge traditional strength training norms by prioritizing inclusivity and body positivity. Our queer, woman-owned gym in East Atlanta Village provides a controlled-access environment where all bodies are celebrated, particularly serving LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, and those marginalized in conventional fitness spaces. We offer appointment-based open gym access, personalized training, and online coaching programs designed to build strength without focusing on body weight. Our facility includes accessibility features like paved entry paths, accessible restrooms, and HEPA-filtered air systems. We actively foster community through sliding-scale memberships, scholarships, work-trade opportunities, and events like the Rainbow Deadlift Showdown. Our commitment to safety is reinforced through member referrals, community agreements, and daily cleaning protocols. With four trainers and over 100 members, we continue expanding our mission to redefine fitness culture through empowerment and education.
