Make Revenue Goals a Reality with Ocean 5 Strategies

The Behavioral Diabetes Institute (BDI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in San Diego, California. Our mission is to help people with diabetes live long, healthy, and happy lives. We understand that diabetes can wreak havoc on one's life, but with the right medical care and self-management, most long-term complications can be delayed or prevented. However, living with diabetes is not without its challenges. The daily demands of self-care can become overwhelming, leading to emotional struggles such as feelings of frustration, anger, depression, fear, and hopelessness.

At BDI, we recognize the importance of addressing the emotional aspects of diabetes. That's why we offer a range of unique, behaviorally-oriented products and services designed to support individuals with type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, parents of children and teens, spouses and partners of people with diabetes, and healthcare professionals. Our offerings include print materials, online courses and modules, face-to-face workshops and seminars, professional training programs, and an online library of resources.

Expert Training

We also offer professional training programs for healthcare professionals, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to provide effective behavioral diabetes interventions. This includes training in diabetes-specific psychological support programs and behaviorally-based education and training in diabetes self-management.

Publications and Resources

We believe in the power of knowledge and education. That's why we've developed a range of publications and resources to support individuals with diabetes and their healthcare teams. From our video series to our print materials and online courses, we offer a wealth of information and guidance to help individuals manage their diabetes with confidence.

Giving Back

At BDI, we're committed to giving back to the diabetes community. We achieve this through our collaborations with other organizations, research initiatives, and educational programs. We believe that by working together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by diabetes.
