Empowering Independence, Enhancing Lives
Project Independence has been a staple in the New Bedford, MA community since 1982. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to helping seniors and adults with limitations stay in their homes and communities by providing skilled nursing care during the day. Our community-based organization was founded by a group of individuals who recognized the need for assistance and support for the elderly and disabled to remain independent.

- Health care monitoring
- Challenging activities
- Stimulating social experiences
- Good nutrition

Our certified geriatric nurses and professional, multilingual staff provide the highest level of care to ensure the well-being of your loved ones.
Adult Day Health
Our Adult Day Health program bridges the gap between independence and long-term care. We offer a cost-effective means for your loved ones to remain in familiar surroundings while receiving the social and medical care they need. By working with both participants and their caregivers, we strive to enhance the participants' quality of life. Our Adult Day Health program provides:
- Individual support in a safe and secure environment
- Medicaid certification and health insurance funding
- Handicap accessibility
- Accommodation for 80 participants daily
