Your Voice Matters, Make a Difference
The Vermont Federation of Families for Children's Mental Health is dedicated to supporting families and children where a child or youth, age 0-22, is experiencing or at risk to experience emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges. For over 25 years, we have been committed to providing a voice for families and promoting a system of care that is responsive to their needs. Our mission is to ensure that all families have access to the resources and support they need to thrive.
Our Services
We offer a range of services designed to empower families and promote positive outcomes for children and youth. These include educational programs for parents, legislative advocacy, special education standing committees, and youth in transition grants. We also provide certification resources, events, and e-learning training opportunities. Our goal is to support families every step of the way, from navigating the system of care to advocating for policy changes that benefit all families.
Reducing Stigma and Promoting Support
At the Vermont Federation of Families, we believe that reducing stigma around mental health is crucial. We strive to create a culture of understanding and support, where families feel comfortable seeking help without fear of judgment. Our services are designed to be inclusive and accessible, ensuring that every family has a voice and can access the resources they need.
Making a Difference
We envision a world where every child and family has access to the support they need to thrive. We believe that by working together, we can create a system of care that is responsive to the needs of all families. Whether through our educational programs, advocacy efforts, or community events, we are committed to making a difference in the lives of Vermont families.
