Zack Woods Herb Farm is a business that has been cultivating a dream for the past 25 years, one that is built on the principles of land stewardship and the production of high-quality botanicals and herbal teas. As stewards of the land, we are committed to protecting the medicinal plants, water, and soil that nourish them, while also helping them flourish. Our second mission is to produce the highest quality live, fresh, and dried botanicals and herbal teas for our local community and beyond.

Our History and Mission

Our farm began with a simple mission: to be good stewards of the land and to produce the highest quality botanicals. Over the years, we have worked collaboratively with some of the finest herbalists, farmers, and researchers from around the world. We have also participated in research studies, written and published a book, and continue to host and teach educational tours, workshops, and classes in an effort to share knowledge about the cultivation and preservation of medicinal plant populations. All of our herbs are certified organically grown or ethically wild-harvested on the farm and exhibit the incredible vitality that flows through our land.

Our Products

We offer a range of products, including fresh, dried, and live plants. Our herbs are of the highest quality and are grown using organic and sustainable practices. We take great care in harvesting and processing our plants to ensure that they maintain their vitality and medicinal properties. Our product line includes a variety of medicinal herbs, herbal teas, and other botanical products.

Education and Consulting

We believe in the importance of education and knowledge sharing. As such, we offer consulting services to individuals and businesses who are interested in cultivating and using medicinal herbs. We also offer educational tours, workshops, and classes on the farm, providing hands-on learning opportunities for those who want to deepen their understanding of medicinal plants and their uses.

Our Team

Zack Woods Herb Farm is owned and operated by Jeff and Melanie Carpenter. Jeff has farming in his blood and has deepened his love and understanding of plants through an apprenticeship with Rosemary Gladstar and as the former co-owner of Sage Mountain Herb Products and the International Herb Symposium. Melanie grew up at Sage Mountain with her step-mother and herbal visionary Rosemary Gladstar, and has worked in the field of medicinal herbs for the past twenty years.

Farm Hours and Visits

As a working farm, the majority of our time is spent in the fields-growing, harvesting, and processing plants. Our office hours are limited, but we strive to answer all emails within 3 business days, return calls several times a week, and ship orders within 7-10 business days. If you would like to visit the farm, all visits need to be scheduled and confirmed in advance.
