Mile High Campground, nestled on the Cherokee Indian Reservation just off the majestic Blue Ridge Parkway, is a family-run retreat offering a true rustic camping experience. Founded in 1998 by Glen J. Bradley, Jr., a dedicated member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, this campground has grown into a beloved destination for nature enthusiasts seeking a tranquil escape amidst breathtaking mountain views. Glen inherited his passion for the outdoors from his father, Joe Bradley, who envisioned this very campground nestled amongst the scenic mountaintop ridges. Joe's dream was realized with the hard work of Glen and his siblings, who helped transform a site with a single road, a small spring, and no electricity into a welcoming haven for campers.

The introduction of elk to the area has also enriched the wildlife experience for campers, bringing a testament to the campground's commitment to conservation.
