Founded by a close-knit family, we've built our success on a foundation of passion, fresh ingredients, and a commitment to providing an unforgettable dining experience. Our journey began with a small, family-operated restaurant in Fremont, where we shared our grandmother's treasured recipes with the community. As we grew, so did our desire to bring the vibrant flavors of Thailand to even more people. In 2004, we took a leap of faith and launched our first food truck, hand-crafted and fueled by our culinary vision. This pioneering venture marked our entry into the burgeoning Seattle food truck scene, where our signature orange truck quickly became a recognizable landmark.

Over the years, Kaosamai has become synonymous with delicious, authentic Thai food in Seattle. Our dedication to quality and flavor has earned us a loyal following, and we're deeply grateful for the community support that has made our dreams a reality. In June 2019, we reopened our brick-and-mortar restaurant with a renewed energy and a commitment to our core values: family, tradition, and, of course, exceptional Thai food.
