Create, Relax, and Take Home Your Masterpiece

We are a pottery studio located in South Bend, Indiana, offering a range of creative activities for all ages and skill levels. Our services include paint-your-own pottery and wheel-throwing classes, as well as special events and programs tailored to various interests and groups.

Paint-Your-Own Pottery

At The Pigeon & The Hen Pottery Studio, we offer over 500 different pottery items to choose from, including bowls, plates, platters, figurines, cups, and more. Each pottery item is individually priced and includes paints, pottery, and firing. The average price of pottery ranges from $25 to $55 per piece.

We provide two types of paint for our customers: acrylic paint and glaze paint. Acrylic paint is a popular choice for those who want to take their creations home the same day, as it does not require firing in a kiln. However, it is not food or liquid-safe. Glaze paint, on the other hand, must be fired in a kiln to become food and liquid-safe. This process takes approximately 2 1/2 weeks, and customers will be notified via text message when their pottery is ready for pickup.

Our pottery painting experience is suitable for everyone, regardless of age or artistic ability. We offer stencils, specialty techniques, and talented Potteristas to guide you on your artistic journey. To make a reservation to paint pottery, simply use the reservation tab located at the top of the home screen. Reservations are accepted until one hour before close.

If you're interested in learning how to create pottery on a wheel, we offer adult wheel-throwing classes for all skill levels.
