Essex Dance Academy

At Essex Dance Academy, our mission is to provide a nurturing and warm environment where students of all ages and skill levels can grow and develop their passion for dance. Founded in 2003 by Marie Fischbach, our academy has expanded to six spacious studios, each equipped with state-of-the-art sound systems and spring-cushioned custom dance floors. Our staff is comprised of experienced and credentialed professionals who are dedicated to guiding students of all levels, from recreational to competitive, to reach their full potential.

Our History

Our journey began when Marie Fischbach, a trained dancer and choreographer, opened our first studio in 2003. Since then, we have grown to become one of the premier dance academies in the region. Our campus is conveniently located in Fairfield, NJ, and features a dancewear boutique, Everything Dance, where students can find everything they need for their dance performances.

Our Faculty

Our faculty is comprised of talented and experienced instructors who are passionate about teaching and mentoring their students. Our instructors have performed and choreographed for various productions, and have received numerous awards and recognition for their work. Our faculty includes:

• Marie Fischbach, Studio Owner, Director, and Instructor, who has a wealth of experience in the performing arts and has choreographed numerous productions.
• Suzy Fischbach, Artistic Director and Instructor, who has performed in various productions and has a passion for contemporary and jazz dance.
• Steven Blandino, Instructor and Choreographer, who has a BFA in Commercial Dance from Pace University and has choreographed for various productions.
• Calli Chafin, Instructor and Choreographer, who has performed in various productions and has been honored with awards for her choreography.
• Kristilee Maiella, Instructor and Choreographer, who holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Montclair State University and has received numerous awards for her choreography.

Our Programs

At Essex Dance Academy, we offer a range of programs to suit every dancer's needs and interests. Our programs include:

• Recreational Classes: We offer recreational classes in various styles, including ballet, jazz, tap, and modern.
• Competitive Teams: We have competitive teams for students who aspire to dance professionally.
• Summer Program: We offer a summer program for students to focus on their dance skills during the summer months.
• Workshops and Masterclasses: We also offer workshops and masterclasses in various dance styles and techniques.
