We pride ourselves on fostering a welcoming atmosphere where every dancer becomes a valued member of the Starr Dance family. Our state-of-the-art facility in Roseland, NJ, hosts birthday parties, summer intensives, and community events to celebrate the joy of dance. We are actively involved in local and national dance competitions, with students earning numerous accolades and scholarships. Our goal is to create a space where young dancers can develop technical skills, artistic expression, and lifelong friendships.

Ballet
Our Ballet program builds foundational technique through barre exercises, center work, and across-the-floor progressions. Students develop proper placement, alignment, and control while learning classical vocabulary. Classes emphasize grace, precision, and musicality for ages 5+.
Hip Hop
This energetic Hip Hop class teaches dynamic footwork, body isolations, and rhythm through age-appropriate choreography. Students build strength and musicality while developing personal style in a supportive environment that celebrates self-expression.
Competition Team
Our nationally award-winning Competition Team offers advanced training in multiple styles. Dancers participate in regional and national competitions, conventions, and our annual production. The program focuses on technical excellence, teamwork, and artistic growth.
Summer Intensive
The Summer Intensive program provides concentrated training with guest instructors and master classes. Ages 4+ develop technique through daily classes in Ballet, Jazz, and Contemporary while building performance skills in a fun, immersive environment.

Brittany Starr Kiss
Studio Owner & Artistic Director
Brittany Starr Kiss has danced professionally since age three, training in multiple styles and performing with the Westchester Knicks and at Super Bowl XLVIII. A member of Dance Educators of America, she teaches Jazz and Tap while directing the studio's artistic vision.
Alexander Dutko
Instructor
Former American Ballet Theatre principal dancer Alexander Dutko brings extensive professional experience to his teaching. He founded BalletCNJ and has trained students who now dance with major companies worldwide, specializing in Ballet and Pointe instruction.
Amanda Rivera
Instructor
Amanda Rivera holds a BA in Dance from Manhattanville College and has taught competitive dance for over a decade. Her choreography has won multiple awards, focusing on building confidence and technical skill in students of all ages.
Patricia LaManna
Director's Assistant
With 25 years running Broadway Flair Dance Company, Patricia LaManna brings decades of experience mentoring competition teams. She choreographed Roselle Park High School musicals and now supports studio operations while sharing her dance expertise.
Lizzy Morcom
Instructor
Lizzy Morcom, a former Starr Dance Competition Company member, teaches Jazz and Hip Hop while pursuing a Communications degree. She began assisting classes at 13 and now trains new instructors, specializing in youth dance education.
