At Bliss Through Yoga, we understand that the path to true wellness begins within. Our studio offers a serene and inviting environment where you can embark on a journey of self-discovery and growth through the practice of Svaroopa Yoga. Our mission is to provide a safe space for individuals to cultivate physical, mental, and spiritual harmony.
Our Story
Bliss Through Yoga was founded by Janice (Jayashree) O'Brien, a seasoned yoga practitioner with over 40 years of experience. Janice discovered Svaroopa Yoga at the Whole Health Expo and was instantly drawn to its therapeutic approach. She pursued yoga teacher training through Master Yoga and soon began teaching Svaroopa Yoga classes herself. Over the years, Janice has expanded her knowledge by attending numerous trainings, becoming an Embodyment Yoga Therapist, Children's Yoga Teacher, Reiki Master, and Crystal Therapist.
Our Services
At Bliss Through Yoga, we offer a variety of services designed to cater to different needs and preferences. Our core service is Svaroopa Yoga, a deeply therapeutic style of Hatha Yoga that focuses on releasing tension in the deepest muscles along the spine. Each class includes postures (asana), breath work (pranayama), and guided relaxation to promote deep relaxation, mental clarity, and internal centering.
In addition to Svaroopa Yoga, we also offer Embodyment Therapy, a hands-on technique that increases body awareness and consciousness. This therapy is particularly beneficial for individuals seeking to unlock their healing potential and move more quickly toward their wellness goals. Our Yoga Therapy sessions are tailored to meet each individual's specific needs and may include yoga breathing, poses with special adjustments, or Embodyment Therapy.
What to Expect
At Bliss Through Yoga, we believe in creating a safe and supportive environment for all our students. Our classes are designed to be accessible and enjoyable for individuals of all ages and skill levels. Each class begins and ends with a guided awareness in a relaxation pose called "shavasana, " followed by a series of poses using props (blankets, chairs, and blocks) to support the body as needed. Our expert instructors are trained to provide personalized adjustments and guidance throughout each class, ensuring that every student feels comfortable and supported.
