Our story began with a father-daughter duo, Mark and Katy Nelson, who shared a vision of creating a space that was not only about serving delicious pastries and coffee, but also about building relationships and fostering a sense of belonging among our customers. This vision was born out of their combined passion for good leadership, exceptional customer service, and a commitment to honoring the talents and skills of every individual who walks through our doors.

Katy, our fearless leader, has a culinary background that spans from the Iowa Culinary Institute to the French Pastry School in Chicago, and eventually, Seattle. However, it was her experience in managing people that truly ignited her passion for creating a unique and welcoming environment at Scenic Route Bakery. For Katy, SRB is more than just a business; it's a home where she can nurture her team and provide them with the opportunity to grow and thrive.

Mark, on the other hand, brings a wealth of leadership experience from his time in the army. His drive and passion for good leadership were honed during his military service, and he has always dreamed of owning a business where he can truly honor people's talents and skills. As a co-owner of Scenic Route Bakery, Mark is dedicated to creating an environment that values every individual and encourages them to reach their full potential.

From delicious pastries and Tugboat coffee to mouth-watering lunch options, we have something for everyone. Whether you're looking for a quick breakfast on-the-go or a leisurely lunch with friends, we've got you covered.

In addition to our in-house services, we also offer online ordering for pastry and whole bean coffee delivery or pickup. Our doors are open from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Saturday, and our espresso bar and drip coffee are available throughout our operating hours.
