At Madison County Winery, we are passionate about providing an exceptional wine-drinking experience in a beautiful outdoor setting. Located in the heart of Iowa's wine country, our winery is nestled among rolling hills and greenery, offering a serene atmosphere perfect for relaxation and enjoyment.
Our story began in 2000 when owners Doug and Cheryl Bakker purchased the property, which was once a cornfield. With the help of family and friends, the vineyard was planted and the winery was established. Over the years, we have continued to expand and improve our facilities, now offering a taste of Iowa's best wines, beers, and treats.
Our Services
- Tasting Room: Join us in our charming tasting room, where you can sample our selection of wines, including our unique flavored wines and wine-a-ritas. Take a seat at our custom-made, crushed wine bottle tables or enjoy the views on our patio.
- Outdoor Seating: Our outdoor seating area is perfect for a relaxing afternoon or evening. Take in the breathtaking views of our vineyard, or enjoy a meal on our pergola or grassy areas. We also offer a fire pit for chilly evenings.
- Food: We offer a range of treats to complement your wine tasting, including cheese and meat platters, gourmet chocolate platters, and a selection of local cheeses.
- Beer: In addition to our wine selection, we offer local craft beers from Twisted Vine Brewery and Big Rack Brew Haus.
- Events: Our property is ideal for private events, including weddings, class reunions, and corporate gatherings. We can accommodate up to 150 guests in our tent pad area.
- Outdoor Activities: Bring your furry friends and enjoy a leisurely stroll around our vineyard and pasture. Dogs are more than welcome on our patio or outdoor areas.
